Hisagame wirkt wie ein uraltes Wesen aus einer japanischen Legende: Ein lang gestreckter, schneckenartiger Körper trägt ein reich strukturiertes Gehäuse und einen traditionellen Hut, während der bewegliche Kopf immer wieder neue Ausdrucksformen ermöglicht. Die geschwungene Silhouette und die klar voneinander abgesetzten Farbbereiche machen die Skulptur aus jeder Perspektive interessant. Hisagame kann auf einer Konsole oder einem tiefen Regal präsentiert werden und lässt sich über die integrierte Öffnung im Körper auch als ungewöhnliche Wanddekoration inszenieren. Hisagame appears to have stepped out of an ancient Japanese legend. Its long, snail-like body carries a richly textured shell and a traditional hat, while the articulated head can be adjusted to create different expressions and poses. Flowing contours and clearly separated colour areas make the sculpture engaging from every angle.
